InstallShield 2016sp1 installation issues on Windows 10 Enterprise edition

Hi,

We are in the process of migrating our build servers from Windows 7 Ultimate to Windows 10 Enterprise and i'm stuck to install installshield on the new platform (Windows 10).

As soon as installer is run it gives the error message complaining that "Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Redistributable package (x86)" pending , and on pressing the install button it gives the next error message that "this is probably due to a failed or cancelled download".

Attached are both error messages.

Also, i've tried to run the installer in Windows 7 compatibility mode then there is no such complaints or error messages but 'IsCmdBld.exe' does not produce any output, no error no information nothing..

Did somebody faced this issue?

Hello,

My apology as I forgot to mention that "Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Redistributable (x86)" is already installed on the system but it is still complaining about the same...

Hi JaiKumar_Sharma,

 Usually the prq are validated using the condition, if you have already higher version of vc++ 2012 installed, it will behaving other condition, it will fails to detect the condition and it will fail,

So please uninstall the existing VC++2012 and then install  VC++2012 by downloading from link below and then try installing installshield 2016SP1 and see it works or not,

You can download the same VC++2012 from below link:

http://download.microsoft.com/download/1/6/B/16B06F60-3B20-4FF2-B699-5E9B7962F9AE/vcredist_x86.exe

Once you install the VC++2012 go this location and see this key exists or not (check under WOW6432 location)

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{2F73A7B2-E50E-39A6-9ABC-EF89E4C62E36}
