Can InstallShield 2024 load 64bit dll

Hi,

currently Installshield is not able to load 64bit dll with UseDll or otherwise.

InstallShield 2024 R1 is out. Will it be able to load 64bit dll?

some threads in the past seems to have mentioned that it will be possible in IS 2024. Kindly confirm.

Hi @agshah, 

  What is your Project type? If you are using installscript project it wont support 64 bit dll loading and use dll function wont support 64 dll, 

Otherwise you can also use a Basic MSI project instead and create a fully 64bit installation media (...from there you can call the 64bit dll from a msi custom action. However the InstallScript custom action will still have the same 32bit limitation).

Ian confirmed me before that the Installscript loading of 64-bit dll's was going to be part of the Installshield 2024 R1 roadmap.
Is this feature cancelled, postponed to a servicepack of Installshield 2024, postponed to a later release....???

The project type is InstallScript MSI. I cannot redo the project in Basic MSI now. When will IS support loading 64bit dll?
