Can I customize the behavior and appearance of an application's installer program using InstallShield Lite?

I need a packaging tool that allows me to customize the appearance and behavior of the "installer programs" for my Visual Basic 2019 applications--and for less than $400. Is InstallShield Lite up my alley?

Hi @RobertGustafson ,

 

Yes,you can customize to some extent.Few things to consider:

  • The user cannot add additional dialog screens apart from the given by default.

  • Limitations when defining Custom Actions.

  • The user can define banners and main image to setup.

If you have additional requirements,you can opt for Express edition .That would be successor of Installshield Lite for which you can get support from Flexera.
