Hello Dear Community,
I have question around the agent - We have a large scale of CIs that have the Flexnet Agent deployed on UNIX, Windows and Mac systems.
Once there is an upgrade in the version of the agent, how would we be deploying the updated agent out to all those CIs on different platforms efficiently and effectively?
Please let me know if you have some best practices followed already 🙂
Thank you

Depends on the environment. The party line from Flexera is just use the update agent package that the beacons can deploy. Some environments that is not an option for security reasons.
How were the agents originally deployed? There is documentation on deploying agents from distribution systems such as SCCM for Windows. Most linux teams can automate an install from a Red Hat Satellite server no problem.
As a rule, whatever your standard defined method of deploying software to a specific section of your environment would be the best method for your organization. You just enter the updated agent as an upgrade package. If updating the agent version deployed by a beacon is the method. Just make sure you work through your change management team before you tell them to upgrade adopted subnets.
