Version Information
sub:- I would like to know the version of Install shield Professional edition used.
I have install software files and i need to make some changes in the code of those to prepare setup files for my current application.
When i tried opening it with Install shield Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0 it says the files were created using Install Shield Professional edition but it didn't specify the Professional edition Version.
we have Install Shield Pro 5.5. When i tried with pro 5.5 it says that the files were created by using more latest version of install shield professional edition.....
How should i deal with this???
Is there any way to find out the version from the files we have???
Thanks for your valuable time:-)

The easiest way to determine what version of Professional was used to create an install is to check the version of the uncompressed setup.exe. If you do not have the built media files, open the .ipr in notepad and check the Version under the General section. Please let me know if you have any further questions regarding this issue. Thank you.
