Resolving the errors like No CM12 connection string was found in the datasync.log


When a new user(not yet synced in to App Portal database) cannot log in to App Portal and errors like the following come up in the datasync.log every time the user try to access App Portal:


CM12 is an example in this case.


The Deployment Settings are not pointing to the correct SCCM connection string.


1. Navigate to the Site Management> Settings> Deployment Settings.
2. Check which Deployment tab (i.e. SCCM 2012, Config Mgr etc.) have the Central Site Server settings filled in and click Test to ensure that settings are valid.
3. Make sure that the Common Tab has the following settings pointing to the correct SCCM:
Define order for detecting client deployment technology
Syncing Users
Syncing Computers
4. Click Save.
