Summary
The Request Failed with HTTP status 401: Unauthorized.
Symptoms
When attempting to view the settings under Admin->Site Management->Settings in App Portal, an error similar to following is seen:
Server Error in '/ESD' Application.
ERROR: The Request Failed with HTTP status 401: Unauthorized
Cause
This error may occur if the anonymous authentication is not set for the ESDWebService installed on each primary site.
Resolution
To resolve the issue, Open the Internet Information Services Manager, and enable Anonymous Authentication on the ESDWebService site.
