New to AdminStudio et. al - Autorepair question

Hi,

Im new to AdminStudio, and would like to know a little about how the .msi autorepair works - is it possible to define which files this covers, and which files are excluded?

For example what happens when my packaged application gets an update? Will it repair itself back to the original version?

Cheers,

James

MSI's default autorepair functionality will only verify the *existence* of the component key files. There are some limits to which components it will test depending on which feature the component containing your shortcut lives.

By default autorepair will only run this in two instances. First, when you click on an MSI/advertised shortcut and second when COM Components are created via CoCreateInstance. The second will only occur if the COM information exists in the class and typelib tables of the MSI package.
