Converting irp to ism File

I’ve created DevStudio v5.5 Project via a ‘Repackager’ Snapshot, then excluded various files and reg keys in the ‘irp’ Repackager file, but when I opened the ‘isp’ Devstudio file, I discovered all my exclusions were still displayed within the project.

The DevStudio Online Help mentions “You can convert your irp file to an ism file”, but it doesn’t mention how.

Can someone please clarify this for me ??

To convert an IRP to an ISM, you can, from IS Repackager (islc.exe) IDE, click the Build button; select Build from the dropdown menu, then select Build; or hit F7 key.

You’re correct, although I discovered my actual problem after your above reply.

I had actually built my ‘ism’ file from the steps you mentioned above and then went back into my ‘irp’ file hours later to excluded more files and reg keys. This is where my problem lies -> I didn’t REBUILD my ‘irp’ file to include my new changes into the ‘ism’ file..

I big trap for the unwary !!!!
