$major_up = get-property -name IS_MAJOR_UPGRADE worked.To record it in installlog had failed before (error creating message).trace-info -LogMessage $major_up -- worked

Hi,I tried using $Session.Property("IS_MAJOR_UPGRADE") as you had suggested, but still it does not work..
