I am looking for some best practices for User licenses, especially is a large Healthcare environment. Currently our consumption is showing a user license for the user, any tech that logs in to resolve a problem for a user, on a shared device anyone that uses the device thus throwing off consumption/compliance. In essence, the user license consumption is never accurate which defeats the purpose of using Flexera for user license compliance. We no not have Flexera agents deployed, we use agents from other systems such as SCCM, Tanium, etc. What have you done that gives you the most accurate consumption for a user license? What settings have you changed in Admin, Applications, Use Rights and Rules, etc. Appreciate any suggestions that have worked. Thanks!

Thank you Stewart! I have decided that it is a lot less work to just manage the license from the MS Visual Studio Portal than in Flexera. Maybe one day Flexera can integrate with this. Appreciate the time you took to respond.

What is the correct way to link a Visual Studio App to a Visual Studio license in Flexera. For example, ours was set up for us. Under applications, Visual studio components show the usage, not the commercial Visual Studio license. This is deceiving for when I run a VS license report. Do you add the components to the VS commercial license application and then create the usage as all my users state they are using the full VS app? Thank you for any help on this so we can make sure we are tracking this license appropriately

Hello. The Flexera rep told me it should have been set up as a perpetual license outside (noted in the case) of SaaS so it was deleted. Can you tell me how to get that re-set up? The Adobe instructions in Flexera only provide detail for Adobe CC. There is a separate portal for Adobe Pro DC. I don't find a unique developer portal to set up credentials as I did with Adobe CC. Can you shed some light on that. As you can see from below he is asking me to click the link which is the Flexera SaaS manager. When I click "Here" nothing happens after refresh. The support rep that contacted me again (Josh is asking me to It looks like we've detected some extra licenses on your Creative Cloud integration and the system is waiting for input to import them. If you browse here, you will see it: https://app.flexera.com/orgs/31092/saas/managed-products/66220?tab=licenses - "Users with the following licenses have been detected: Adobe Audition, Dreamweaver, Acrobat Pro DC, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Photoshop, Premiere Pro - Click here to add these licenses for tracking". Hello, Can you support me with the below. Support is not able to answer and the account team has escalated this question to no avail. Screen Shots attached. Flexera set up our initial integration for Adobe CC, which works fine after I refreshed the token and Adobe Acrobat Pro. Adobe Acrobat Pro DC was set up as a separate SaaS integration in SaaS manager. (again - set up by Flexera but we were never provided documentation on how it was set up and has its own Adobe portal, separate from Adobe CC). This integration stopped about 6 months and needed a refreshed token. However, the instructions in Flexera only provide the integration steps for Adobe CC, not Adobe acrobat Pro DC. I was told by Josh (Flexera Support) to set it up as a regular license (outside of SaaS manager). I tried that but Flexera changed the Status from Active to retired, even though it does not expire until 12/28/23. See below history. Additionally, even though I allocated the purchase order to the License, the entitlements are not contributing as it states it is managed directly from an inventory source (but there is no further explanation of how to find that source and how to fix it) Please see attached scenario.

I have a question on Adobe Acrobat Pro. Flexera set up our original implementation on this product. I have a direct connect to my Adobe CC products in SaaS and that works fine. However, I was told by Flexera to set up Acrobat Pro as a standard on prem user subscription license. I did that and I am getting messages where entitlements can't be applied. See case 02727850. Maybe you can help?
