Successful discovery & inventory of assets during the Discovery phase serves as validation of prerequisites being met prior to beginning performance scanning. In other words, proper access (prereqs) is needed for Inventory and generally speaking you apply licenses after successful inventory. *Note licensing is not required during Discovery/Inventory phase.

A "burst" has a duration of a 30 (contiguous) days, from the date you start it, after which it expires.
In your scenario, recommend you have 2 bursts of qty 500 each. *Note only 1 burst can be active at a time. After your first burst completes you can at any point after that initiate the 2nd burst when ready.

The web UI (portal) for your assessment(s) leverages MFA whether its hosted in SAAS or hosted on FDP (on-premise). No administrative configuration is required. Users set up their MFA options when registering an account for the Cloudscape product (https://flexera.riscnetworks.com)
The management UIs for the appliances (FDP & RN150) do not have MFA. As both appliances are hosted on premise consider restricting network accessibility to the management UI via internal network controls (acls, fw port restrictions, etc).

Hello,
Subscriptions (typically) are active for 1 year. The above details appear to be in error. Please open a support case to have this issue resolved.
You can confirm your assessment end date on the License Page (go to Collect Data/ Licensing menu) of the portal and locate the End Date under License Summary.
If the end date listed is May 5th 2022 your assessment will no longer be accessible on that date. As stated above please open a support case so the correct end date can be confirmed and your subscription updated to prevent access interruption to your assessment.

There is no difference between burst and CCL licenses in regards to the data collected from licensed targets. The primary difference, as you pointed out, is the valid time period. A "Burst" is essentially a license pack that expires after 30 days from the date/time the pack is initiated. All licenses included in the pack/burst start and expire at the same time. Note: the pack/burst start date/time is user initiated in the UI.
A CCL license is valid until the end of the subscription (typically 1 year).
Discovery and Inventory collection are not limited by licensing. Therefore you can perform discovery and inventory as much as needed without regard to the number of licenses you have in your subscription.

Hello,
All data is stored on the FDP (database) and is encrypted at rest. There is no option to store/ direct "the raw data" to alternative storage devices.
Backing up the FDP appliance can be accomplished by using snapshots in Vmware. Additionally, many of the reports and tables in UI can be downloaded to CSV.

This can occur if either your subscription has expired or if the assessment has been closed by selecting 'End Assessment' from the appliance UI.

Hi,
This is not possible. Third-party software/agents cannot be added to either of the Cloudscape appliances. Security updates/patches are routinely applied, to the appliances thru the orchestration service which manages the solution and its deployments.

You must create a credential entry for each of the named instances and specify both the IP address and port for the given instance. Named Instances within SQL will either be configured on different ports or differing IPs (or both). Specifying IP and Port will differentiate the different instances on a single server installation.
In the case of dynamic ports it is recommended to instead use static ports with Cloudscape. While you can use/specify the dynamic port you run the risk of the port changing and therefore breaking communication for Cloudscape collection from the sql instance(s).

Connections between servers simply indicates there has been TCP communication between servers. Generally speaking this could be representative of:
N-Tier application communication (same application). (e.g. application server communicating to a database server)
or
Application A consuming services from Application B. (i.e. servers not part of the same application)
TCP communication data is collected using Netstat to build a profile of the systems' communication within the assessment. The result is a dependency mapping of communication between servers. Then automated logic is provided within Cloudscape to logically group servers in potential application groups. Further, manual refinement (by environment SMEs) is then recommended to finalize and add context to the logical grouping of servers to applications groups.
