thanks for the reply.the reason I called it a config tool, is because the installer installs nothing. I just asks the user a bunch of quesitons and then modifies a bunch property files(and run some background taks). I moved this from the core insta...

bostonian, I am not sure if this will help. I haven't played with tags yet, but I noticed a checkbox in the build -> Build configurations -> Distribution tab.It is listed as "Optimize Installer Size by Platform and Tags". It is unchecked by default...
