Then, does it happen on a single distribution or on more than one? Does this happen on a single machine or on more than one? Does this happen when you install it as regular user or as root? First of all thanks for taking interest in my issue. This happen on all flavors of Linux, this is happens on all the distributions also reproducible on all the m/c with regular and root user. Anyway I resolved this issue and now the installer is back to normal, but IA should through some meaningful error message if it get stuck in between. The reason behind Hang of installer there was one junk file getting packaged with tomcat of our product so when IA tries to unpack this junk named filed it used to hang, but IA never thrown any error message while installer build or while installing the product, may be iA should have complained that "file name is not recognized or cannot unpack file"

That's what the issue is from last 2 weeks we did not made any changes to our IA projects, otherwise that would have been our first suspect.

It is true that it happened in IA 2008, but maybe it wasn't fixed in IA 2009... maybe in IA 2009 SP1? This issue is not even resolved in IA 2009 SP2 😞 , we are stuck now what next even no workaround provided for this issue. Can anyone have idea if Flexera has any plan to resolve this issue in IA2010?

Above both libs fails for dependencies, if I try to install these libs with --nodeps I get error: unpacking of archive failed: cpio: Bad magic Any other thoughts? IA does not support Linux 64 bit because I never saw IA installers labeled separately as 32 or 64 bit? This has became blocker for me. Any help in this regard will be highly appreciated.

Hi All, We have installer with IA 2009. Our installer is happy while installing on Win2008 64 bit with 64bit JVM, but while uninstall it throws error: "Win64 is not supported. The author of package you are installing did not include support for this platform". I was going through the threads and found that people has same issue with IA8, but did not got the solution to this problem. While investigating on this issue I found that if I edit VM path in “uninstall.lax” file under “Uninstall” with path where JVM is not present then click on uninstaller.exe than I am able to launch the uninstall, this is how I tried updating my lax file. lax.nl.current.vm=C:\\Program Files\\Java\\jdk1.6.0_16\\bin\\java.exe to lax.nl.current.vm=C:\\Program Files\\Java\\jdk1.6.0_16\\bin\\test\\java.exe I am stuck to this, can anyone provide any input or solution will be highly appreciated. Thanks Saharey
