This is a biggy , anyone know or have a quick aprroch to this.. repacked a exe file into a msi and want to add a odbc entry to the msi , so users dont have to go and create it themselves? :confused:
How do u edit a reg file in install sheild, it seem to let me add, but i juts want to change the value of a file:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\SystemEnable LUA to 0 from 1? it isnt user freindly?Anyone know .....

rrinblue22 wrote:you can look in to System Configurations view >> ODBC resource in InstallShield IDE...if nothing else just import those registry entries (.reg) which adds your ODBC and then include them in the project....Thanks, done & done ..
