Flexera is introducing new software categories and subcategories under the category group “Business Applications”.
These changes are intended to maintain the appropriate categories for the products that were classified under “Security, Business Intelligence (BI), Software Development, Utilities, IT Management, and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM).
We will be revisiting/updating the existing products in the mentioned categories and making the changes based on the identified subcategories from the new list or the existing category.
The scope of these changes currently is limited to 38 products. The remaining ones will be taken up in the next set.
Impact
This change will impact customers who rely on Technopedia product categorization to manage downstream processes and reporting in their organization. In addition to introducing the new subcategories, products will be realigned from their existing category/subcategory into one of these new categories/subcategories.

Customers should expect these changes to occur from July 8th to July 12th.
