Change Summary
Category Change: Flexera are recategorizing products from the existing categories list into Technopedia which will involve a realignment of existing products. We are recategorizing into the most suitable category.
Category addition: Flexera is introducing a new sub-category into Technopedia which will involve a realignment of existing products. The new sub-category will be called Wearable Technology | Smart Watches, Wearable Technology | Headsets and Other Hardware | Laboratory Equipment and will come under the existing category Other Hardware.
Impact
This change will impact customers who currently use the Technopedia Taxonomy/category for managing downstream processes such as application alignment to Service Managers and internal reporting. In addition to introducing 3 new sub-categories and recategorizing, (993 Products will be realigned among 1155 – ‘Other hardware | Unclassified hardware’).These Products are provided in the attachment Proposed_category_list_along_with_products_list.xlsx

Customers should expect these changes to occur starting from April 22nd to 26th. These changes have now been completed.
