where can an application be stopped
The item "Control NT Services" offers:
Control NT Services
my service
my event
...
...
Uninstall stop yes/no
Uninstall delete yes/no
...
...
I need the same possibility for programs.
- If the uninstall is started and the program is running, the Installshield should stop / kill the application.
Since Installshield even offers this behavior for services I guess there are also
some where items like:
programs
my program
my event
...
...
Uninstall stop yes/no
Uninstall delete yes/no
...
...
-------
Where are this possibilities to stop / kill programs?
Thanks for your help in advance.
p.s. my Installshield version is: 11.5

Yes, it will be necessary to use a custom action to stop or kill running programs, otherwise a reboot may be required at the end. The functionality you pointed to for services is actually provided by Windows Installer through the ServiceControl table.
