change prerequisite failed message
What do I have to do to change the prerequisite failed message?
I have setup a prerequisite for IIS 6.0. My boss wants me to have the installer simply notify the technician that IIS 6.0 has not been correctly setup on the system and then exit the installer.
The default message does not exactly fit this purpose.
Thanks,
Joshua Foulk

There isn't any way to affect the message directly. HOWEVER, you can force the prerequisite to return success and then in your System Search within the MSI you can test to see if the prerequisite was installed and then check to see if the IIS service is setup on the system.

Which message are you referring to? At least some of the prerequisite messages are in 0x0409.ini, so if you want a different message for all of your prerequisites, you can change the string there...
