XML File Changes In Maintenance
Hi,
I'm trying to change a specific node in some XML file in my installation, it works for the first run, but if I run the installer a second time it does not change the node.
Is there a way to make it change the node no matter what?
If not' is there a way to make it not run in maintenance mode?
Thanks.

Hi @chenKahana ,
You can put the condition for the XML custom actions, to restrict them in maintenance mode.

Hi @banna_k ,
I looked at the link you've sent me but its not very specific...
Which condition should I enter? where do I put the condition? on which custom action?
If you can make your answer to be specific and tutorial-ish it would be great.
Thanks.

Hi @chenKahana ,
you can use below specified condition in the "Custom Actions and Sequences" view to skip during the maintenance for the xml specific custom actions.

Hi, @banna_k ,
Thanks for the quick reply but none of your suggested solutions is a solution to my problem...
Basically what i need is for the installer to ignore the modes, to run every time as if it's not installed.
OR if there is a way- to make only the XML file change action to run every time (in maintenance or in installation).
But again- if there is no way to make ONLY the XML run in every installation mode then what i need is for my installer to ignore it's modes and just install every time.
Please- if there is a way- try to explain it to me in a more specific way, based on steps (go to ____, click on _____ , change to ____, etc) instead of general information (go to link and read, change the settings, etc).
Thanks.
