I have a Basic MSI project that supports Windows 2000, XP, 2003 and Vista. The ALLUSERS property is set to 1 and we require the application to be installed by a local administrator. My problem lies in creating a desktop shorcut. On 2000, XP, and 2003 the desktop shorcut (as well as the standard program files -> company name -> etc shorcut) is created in the all users profile. In Vista, the desktop shorcut is only created on the installing users desktop while the program files shorcuts are created for all users. I've done some searching attempting to figure out what I've missed but have been unable to come up with it. Has anyone else experienced this?
