Shortcut file extensions associations?
Hiya,
I have a shortcut that I want to start a "app.exe" when clicked. However I dont want to show the ".exe" on the shortcut. How do I accomplish this task?
I open up the Project Assistant tab and thought I could just check "associate a file extension with the shortcut target:" and enter ".exe".
I dont think this is the correct approach?
Any ideas welcome.
Thanks,
Garyc

Actually, you should be able to set the shortcut's display name to anything you want; it doesn't have to match the file name, and no file-extension information is involved...

Much appreciated, yeh I looked at the short properties and kinda figured out that I could just rename the short. Anyway still appreciated the feedback.
