Setup.exe: Product Version, File Version

Hello,

I see in setup.exe windows explorer/details two properties:
Product Version, File Version
Both of them are set to the same version, let say 1.1.1.1

Is it possible to set them to different values: 1.1.1.1 and 2.0.0.1 ?
If not, could you give us this possibility next update, please?

Regards
Roman

You should be able to set this in your source's IDE like Visual Studio. When your project is open try looking for "Project Settings" or "Properties" and there should be a section for adding, and updating the file version. Depending on your IDE you may be able to create a script that will update it when you go to build the installer. We don't update the file versions so I don't know much about trying to hook in the build to update it...

In the Help for InstallShield 2013, a page titled "Customizing File Properties for the Setup Launcher" details steps for being able to edit the File Version property of the setup.exe file while leaving Product Version alone. However, when I set Use Custom Version Properties to "Yes", I only see "File Description" and "Launcher Copyright" fields. There is no "File Version" field where Help specifically says there should be.

Is there a setting or option I need to enable to see this property, or is the help documentation wrong?
