Scripts and file not replaced during update

How to set the Action: Local in the installshield msi project . My update is not working as it is showing Action: null in the log.
No sql script is executed even though the Schema Version of those scripts are gretaer than the existing ones.
files and dlls are also not replaced. Dll versions are changed and greater than the previously installed one.

Please help...

Hi,

In my opinion, some components rules were violated when you created the new setup/msi. Hence, you are seeing this behavior. Refer to this article for more help --> http://blogs.msdn.com/heaths/archive/2006/01/23/516457.aspx.
