I am testing InstallShield Express 2010 evaluation. From my previous experience with very old InstallShield products, it was possible to write custom event handlers using C-like scripting language. I cannot find this feature in my tested version. Does InstallShield have scripting capabilities, what editions support scripting?
The InstallScript language is available for use in the Professional and Premier editions. If you are coming from experience with InstallShield Professional 5–7 or so, the InstallScript project type will probably be more familiar to you. However the scripting is available both there and in Basic MSI projects.
