Repair/Remove dialog font issues
After upgrading our project to IS2010 from IS2009, we have noticed the font on the windows installer dialogues when repairing/removing our product have very small fonts which almost look blurry.
Any advice on what could cause this?

It sounds like the Build UTF-8 Database setting on the Build tab for your release in the Releases view is set to Yes. You might want to consider selecting No. The help that is displayed within InstallShield when you select this option has more details about this setting.

Hi,
Also refer to this kb article and try applying the hotfix -> http://kb.flexerasoftware.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=Q207348.
Thanks,

Yes, We have Build UTF-8 Database set to yes in order to support multiple languages.

Hi,
this is a bug of Windows installer:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/979849
But if you disable the UTF8 property I have other problems. All texts in the msi are missing if English US is not the default language.
It takes 2 months that the IS Support says that this is a bug... and it will be fixed in the future.
Sorry but the "new Multilingual install package functionality" is just a big big BUG!
It's good to hear that other customers have the same problems!
Cheers
Jörg
