Minor update problem
Hi,
I am using Installshield 2008 Premiere with an BasicMSI to deploy my application.
When making a minor upgrade, I see that there are files that were changed in the new package e.g. .exe file that was rebuilded; on update, the old file remains, and it's not changed with the new one. If I delete the file and make an update, the new one is present (expected).
Am I understanding this wrong? Can't minor upgrade change this file with the new one (same name, location, etc.) - preferred solution - or this is possible only with a major update uninstalling the whole product and reinstalling it? I guess I'm missing something.
I read the IS documentation and didn't seem to clear me out. Could maybe someone point me to an article that clarifies this ?
Best regards,
Daniel
