Hi All,
I would like to make minor MSI update. I need change one EXE file but I have a problem with registry overwriting after updating?
Can anybody advise me?
Thanks a lot!

Hi,
You can try using a patch.
The minor upgrade and patch setups are similar to the way they work.
However, with a patch you can select which parts you want to update. Look at REINSTALLMODE property for more information.
Alternative.
I have never tried this, but try setting the REINSTALLMODE during the minor upgrade using a custom action?
Thanks.

Thank's for advice.
I have solved this problem with NOT REINSTALL condition for WriteRegistryValues in action section. 🙂 I hope it will work right.
