Is there any standard/guideline to name setup.exe
Hi,
In our company we create installers for different products and our clients have told us that sometimes they get confused when they download more than one product and end up with a different setup.exe files.
Because of this we now want to start usingSetup.exe, (e.gr. MyProduct7.3Setup.exe)
One of my colleagues is pointing out that the Microsoft installers are always called "setup.exe" and he suggested that "probably" calling the installers setup.exe is a standard practice.
Does any of you know if it is really a standard or guideline to do it that way?
What does everybody usually do?
Thanks,
-Juan Carlos
