Installation randomly starting when I run an application.
To our application we recently added a new executable.
When we start this executable the entire installation automatically runs and messes everything up. Even when there should be no trances of this msi package.
With this new executable, we also had to add a merge module. Could this be a reason why this is happening?
This tends to be caused by Windows Installer's self-repair functionality. If you look for "MsiInstaller" messages in the Application section of the Event Viewer, you should see what Windows Installer thinks must be repaired...
