InstallScript support on Win2k

I have a basic MSI with installscript CAs which works fine on XP but none of the script runs on Win2k. The log shows:

InstallShield 8:04:39: Initializing Engine
InstallShield 8:04:39: Failed to Invoke __ISRTInit, error is 0x80020009
InstallShield 8:04:39: InitScript operation failed, error is 0x80020009
InstallShield 8:04:39: Failed to invoke __ISRTUninit, error is 0x80020009
InstallShield 8:04:39: Initialize() Failure, Failed to Initialize script support, Error = 0x80020009

I'm using IS2010 SP1. Is there anything special I need to do to ensure this works on Win2k?

Hi,

I am facing exactly the same problem with my Basic MSI project.
None of my InstallScript code is executed!

It might have something to do with the bug I reported this morning in
http://community.flexerasoftware.com/showthread.php?t=190838.

I have tested with various test setups, I have seen that the problem appeared after we updated our IS 2010 and IS 2010 SAB with SP1!

Has Flexera/Acresso actually tested any generated setup on W2K with IS 2010 SP1?

A hotfix has been provided in KB Q206628 that should resolve this behavior.
