How to change "Preparing to install" window
Hi All,
I cannot figure out where to change the size of the 1st "Preparing to install" window during installation. All the following screens are fine, but the 1st one is bigger.
Pls advise
thanks

In Media-->Release-->-->under Setup.exe Tab
Small Initialization Dialog to Yes
If you add a splash screen under Behaviour and Logic-->Support Files-->Splash screen you will get a small initialization dialog in the right bottom corner.

Bineesh,
we have a doubt. we just want to know from where does this multi instance screen is getting initiated.
we need this information for the following scenario.
After clicking on the "Next" button on the multi instance Dialog , the control goes to the second screen(ex:Welcome screen). in the Welcome screen if we click on the Back button again the control has to go back to the multi instance screen. Can We achieve this and yes means, how ?
Please advice.
Thanks & Regards
Rammohan

The multi-instance dialog is actually displayed by Setup.exe (bootstrapper) before beginning the actual MSI installation. Because of this it is not possible to hit Back button on the MSI dialogs to go back to the multi-instance dialog. It was necessary for this dialog to be displayed before beginning the MSI installation. This dialog location is similar to the setup.exe initialization dialog.

Is there anyway to modify this dialog? we have requirement to rmeove or disable the Cancel button when Setup initialize, I configure the MSI to run in quite mode but still the SETUP dialog always initiated with cancel button on it.

Hi @alexmuch,
There is no option to disable the "Cancel" button here. As mentioned in the previous messages, this dialog is coming from the setup.exe not from the msi.
Only you can resize the dialog by changing the option provided under Media-->Release-->-->under Setup.exe Tab
Small Initialization Dialog to Yes.
