Help: One installer to handle 2 UpgradeCodes.
I would like some support regarding the merge of 2 different product suits. Or 1 merged into the other would be more correct since I want to keep the UpgradeCode for one.
I’ll try to explain in detail below.
We have an Online Backup product that’s also available for big ISPs as white-lable.
Product 1:
Storegate Online Backup (our own)
UpgradeCode kept for all versions
ProductCode new for each version
PackageCode new for each version
Installed to %localappdata%\Storegate\OnlineBackup\
Product 2:
XYZ Online Backup (our ISP customer’s version)
UpgradeCode kept for all versions
ProductCode new for each version
PackageCode new for each version
Installed to %localappdata%\XYZ\OnlineBackup\
Now the XYZ users will become Storegate users, and I’m searching for a way to make this happen:
1. Executing the Storegate installation/upgrade should uninstall the XYZ version if found.
2. AppData files still there after uninstallation should be moved to the Storegate location. (A couple of xmls created by our software, we’ll handle this part internally unless there’s an easy way to do it with Installshield 2013)
So basically my question is, is there a way for the Storegate installation to extend it’s “RelatedProducts” to include another product with another UpgradeCode?
Can I trick the Major upgrade to uninstall more than 1 product based on ProductCodes even though UpgradeCode:s differ?

Simply add a second Major Upgrade item with the UpgradeCode of the XYZ product.
