I am getting this error with every install package that I am compiling. even a blank new Installation that has no files or components inside it. What could be the cause?:confused:
How are you compiling your project? I have gotten this error when doing a build tables only compile, but it cleared up when I did a full build of the project.
I also receive this error when I am trying to run an InstallScriptMSI .exe on a Windows 2008 R2 server. I can compile/build/run this .exe on my Vista machine, yet when I deploy and try to run on my test Windows 2008 R2 server, I receive this error.
I have tried this with a bare bones project that only has one file to copy.
