Disable installation for non admin user in Win XP
The installer package is installing software in Windows XP by a non-admin user despite setting the option that installation requires administrative privileges. An error does appear upon clicking Next if the location of install is default (Program Files). However, if user sets a custom location, the installation completes (although no shortcuts are created).
Kindly provide solution to prevent installation of software by a non-admin user in any case without affecting any other version of windows or platforms.
Platforms: Windows (XP, Vista and 7) and Mac OSx.

Hello,
Perhaps you could check for the "ALLUSERS" property on the click of next button of the User Information Dialog. If this property is not set, you can abort the installation.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Ramya

Hi Ramya,
Thanks for the reply. However, we do not want to use the User Information Dialog. Is there any workaround to this?
Thanks and Regards,
Harpreet
