Default Operation
We've built our setup and when we run it we get a message saying that we must remove the previous version before installing. Previously, using Installshield Pro, it would offer a Repair install or if the version was later an Update install. Is this operation available in LE or do we always have to uninstall the old version before installing a new one? Any repair or reinstall capability available in LE? Thanks.

Could you please let us know whether you are trying to install a major upgrade or minor upgrade or the same package?
If you are upgrading the product already installed, please make sure that the upgrade codes of both the packages(installed and installing packages) are same.
Thanks,
Chiranjeevi

We are testing without changing the version number. That is why we would expect to see a Repair install.

You may try changing the product code without changing the version number and build the setup, then the product will get installed on existing product.
Now, If you try to install the same package then you will be able get the maintenance window for the product installed.
For example:
>Assume Relese 1 already installed on the machine.
>Now in ISLE Project, change the product code and keeping the product version same
>Add the upgrade path using the Release 1' upgrade code.
>Build Release 2
>Try to install the Release 2.
Thanks
