Data2.cab is missing when installing Package Setup.exe ('Setup Needs The Next Disk' message occurs)

Hi.

I am responsible for developing product installation packages with InstallShield.

I recently replaced my PC and did a re-install of InstallShield2016 SP2.
(My product info is InstallShield 2016 - Premier Edition with Virtualization, Version 23, Service Pack 2)

However, I am facing an issue that data2.cab is not found in the Installing step of Package Setup.exe.
I would be grateful if you could let me know if there is anything I should check when this happens.

Below are my observations on the symptoms.

  1. Package 'Setup Needs The Next Disk' message during installation. (There was no specific errors during the build)

  2. Only the data2.cab file is missing in the temp folder(under %Appdata%) where the Package is unzipped, but other files including the data1.cab file are located.
  3. Running the temp setup.exe(under Disk Images\Disk1), which is an intermediate result of the package build, works fine for installation

 

Below are the things I tried to resolve the symptoms.

  • Restart PC(Windows)
  • Refresh Build
  • Uninstall and Re-Install InstallShield 2016 SP2


I am speculating that there may be a problem with the package Setup.exe unpacking.

I'd appreciate any references to what I'm experiencing or similar symptoms.
