You don't need to type the name of the server. You can browse to find it.
When you launch InstallShield, you'll see the try/own dialog. Click the Own link. Then you'll see the dialog that has the serial number field. Ignore the serial number field, and instead click the Browse for corporate license server hyperlink. Then you should be able to select the server.
I hope that helps.

Thanks for the quick response
Some how I cant see the dialog you have talked about
For some reason the splash screen run as minimized and cannot be revealed
So installshield DevStudio appears automatically
Is there another way?
Eli

Hmm. I have not heard any reports of a splash screen running as minimized. When you try to launch InstallShield, do you see the dialog shown in the following screen shot? If you have more than 5 days left in your trial period, this dialog automatically disappears after a few seconds.
If you see that dialog, can you try clicking the Own hyperlink?

Hi
Don't familiar with this dialog 😞 (minimized?)
My evaluation period started yesterday so it should appear
Please note , I have IS 12 installed on the same machine

Try this: On the Help menu, click About InstallShield. Then on the About box, click the Activate button. Doing so will display the dialog in my earlier screen shot.
Does that work?
