ClickOnce?
Hi all, I'm a newbie. We have a C# app that we need to create an install for. We want it to automatically check for updates, like it would if we "Publish"ed it from VS2005. But, we need it to create an association with a file extension. There's supposed to be a way to do that by adding a fileAssociation entry in the manifest, but have not been able to get it to work. We don't want to create the file association in the app itself, because that requires admin privileges on Vista. Is there a way in InstallShield 2009 to create an automatically-updating (like ClickOnce) install which also creates a file association? Can it be done without FLEXNet Connect, or would we need that?
Thanks for the help!

I just asked the same question today... about 4 years later. And it doesn't look like there's been any activity on your question in the last 4 years.
This does not leave me optimistic.
If you found a solution through some other means, I'd be most grateful if you'd share your knowledge with me!
