I would not expect to see official support for Windows 8 in InstallShield 2012 Express or other versions. (Although with more direct control, there's more recourse in Professional and higher editions.) At the same time, I would expect installations built in InstallShield 2012 to continue to work on Windows 8; you'll just be less able to, say, filter which files are installed. What kind of Windows 8 support are you looking for?
I was interested in having Windows 8 available in the "System Hardware Requirements" pick list, so I can tell Installshield to either install or not install our applications into Windows 8 systems.
