Allow "Program Files" destination folder override

I have found a lot of discussion in these forums concerning the x86/x64 programs folders but cannot seem to find the answer to my question.

With a basic MSI installer that is 32b and by default installs to "Program Files (x86)" on a 64b machine is there a way to allow the user to change the "Install to" folder to "Program Files"? This folder may be selected by the user with the "Change" button. However, it still installs to the (x86) folder. Changing to a folder other than the "Program Files" location does result in successfully changing the Destination Folder.

Regards

I think that you need create a 64-bit package to be able to install your files in native 64-bit locations. To do so, try changing the value of the Template Summary setting in the General Information view to include "x64" instead of "Intel".
