After migrating to 2009 SQL browse dialog gives error on Vista
Hi
We have recently migrated to IS 2009 SP2.
The installer seems to work fine on Xp but when I click on the Browse buttong on the SQLLogin page , the installer crashes. This issue is only happening on Windows Vista and the installer works fine on Xp.
Also if i create a new installer with IS 2009 and put the SQLLoging and SQLBrowse dilog in that then it works fine.
I have searched a lot on the community and found a patch here http://community.installshield.com/showthread.php?t=181511&page=2
Although this patch is not for the 2009 version I still replaced the said Dll to see if it works and the installer worked. This behaviour is causing even more confusion.
Can anyone shed some lignt on what i need to do to make this thing work ?
I have taken verbose logs for the installer but could not find any pointers in it. I am attaching the logs here.

If you create a new project from scratch in IS 2009 SP2, and only add a connection in the SQL Scripts view, is the problem reproducible?

Hi
I have found a probable solution to the problem..
We had done a migration of the installer from Install shield 12 to install Shield 2009
and hence the problem
I deleted entries from the ListBox and GRoupBoxes table as mentioned in this post http://community.acresso.com/archive/index.php?t-148996.html
and it worked.
Can you tell me if there is any other side effect of deleting those entries ... ?
Our installer are used in varied environments right from Windows XP to Windows 2008.

The entry should be removed from the ListBox and ComboBox tables. There will be no side effect of deleting those entries.
