Windows server 8 and InstallAnywhere 8 compatibility clarification.
Hi
I have a java application which is packaged using InstallAnywhere 8. The built exe's can install and work with windows 7.
My question is will the same installer can be installed on windows server 8?
I dont have a win 8 machine to verify. Would appreciate your help. Many thanks in advance.
Regards,
Vishal

IA 8 is a very old version, I doubt it's out of support, so I strongly doubt it can support Windows 8. I mean, yes it is possible if your installer doesn't do too much OS related stuff, but as far as I know, even the latest version doesn't support Win8 yet.

InstallAnywhere 2012 supports the Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012 operating systems.
I would suggest you to migrate from IA 2008 to IA 2012.
