New installed Environment Variable is unknown for in same session installed service
In the installation section I'm insltalling the Environment variable with the action 'Set System Environment Variable' and then registrate my application as service with the action 'Register Windows Service' which uses this variable. In the post - install section I start this service with the action 'start, stop, pause windows service'. My application reports that the Enviroment Variable is not set. Only after the computer start this variable becomes known to my application. Do I have to use any special action in order to activate this environment variable without starting the computer.
I recieve this error on Windows XP. On Vista it functions properly
Thank you for any advice.
Anna

Normally on windows, the environment variable is set once the installation is done. Only on non-windows, we need to login to the machine or restart for environment variable to set.
Can you please give a try with 'RefreshEnvironment' action(Post-Install view->Add Action...->Plugins tab)
Thanks,
vr
