Instances
I didn't see a way in the doc to know what the user chose in the instance dialog. Inside my install, I have no idea if the user intended to install a new instance or which one to modify.

Hi,
Currently InstallAnywhere 2010 does not expose the user choice of "Installing a new instance" or "modify an existing instance" to the installer author.
Thanks,
Jiju

So is this a limitation or a bug?

That's a bit shortsighted. They could select to install a new instance and then procede to install on top of an existing installation or vice versa. I can't prevent it because I have no idea what they chose.

Hi,
This functionality has been implemented and should be part of the next InstallAnywhere release.
Thanks,
