Does IA have a built-in checksum in installer file extraction?
Hi,
I wonder if InstallAnywhere has a build-in checksum mechanism during installer file extraction.
The installer file was build as a single file web installer. We notice that sometimes, when the file is downloaded and launched, random errors would occur. It's not until we run the md5 checksum util to find out the file was corrupted. The interesting thing is the installer still launches despite the checksum error.
Thanks,
Billy

Actually, which is quite obvious, I think that only the Resource1.zip file from within has an associated checksum: this would explain how the installer would launch... but then would fail at extracting resources.
