I am unable to change the label settings on any of my pre-install actions. When change an action use a different label than it's default and then save the project, the label setting immediately jumps back to what it was.
This was working fine in the evaluation of InstallAnywhere I was using several weeks ago.
Each time you save your project, it applies the "auto populate" rule selected in "Installer UI/Look & feel/Installer Panel Additions" => List of labels for installer steps.
So you should uncheck the "auto populate ..." box ... you're done !
