Build time variables on Mac

Hi

Anyone know if there is a convenient way of defining build time variables before starting IA on a Mac, similar to the way you can set up source path variables using
.InstallAnywhere/140/Enterprise/preferences/com.zerog.ia.PathManager.properties

They're not much use for automated builds if we can't set them up beforehand !

( for anyone not using a Mac, no you can't just use export from the command line shell )

Hi,

You can use properties file to define build time variables. During build time you'll have to provide -btv argument with path to the properties file. Please check the help document for using properties file to define build time variables for more information.

Got that thanks. Is there any way of doing this with the GUI or is it for the command line build only ?

What kind of gui are you talking about? You wanted to input these without wanting to launch the IA designer, so this is the way to do it. You can always launch the IDE and set the variables.
