Updating from pre-update enabled setups
I am using installshield premier 11, and the update edition that comes with it.
In the publisher site it says I have 7 users. I use two computers myself, and
have not deployed the new setups, not even internally.
I noticed our customers could download the update manager separately.

If they have our software installed (without the update manager), what are the steps to update the software? And is that where the other 5 users
come from?

If your original installer does have Update Service included (not just your upcoming update) then that original install is capable of checking for updates. The number of users represents the number of GUIDs that have called up to the notification servers.
For the version of Update Service included with IS premier, the agent APIs are not available, so the only way to update your end users is to rely upon the Update Manager.

Kelly
