I've been trying to update the flexnet object in our installation from Flexnet Connect 11.6 to 12.01. All I've done is deleted the 11.6 object and replaced it with the 12.01 object. When I test our installation by installing our product using the the FNC 11.6 then updating our product using FNC 12.01, the files (isuspm.exe, agent.exe, etc) are still at the 11.6 level. If I do the same test, but delete the FNC files before installing our product with the FNC 12.01, the files install the FNC 12.01. Not sure if something needs to be set with this new version. If you have any suggestions please let me know
Not sure if you yet figured this issue out, but you're probably seeing an issue with the upgrade pattern you've chosen for your files. What you may want to do is consider authoring a major upgrade as part of your installation and seeing if that resolves the issue you're seeing.
